Psalms 127:2 reads; It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep."

Recently I was speaking to young person that said to me that she does not go to sleep until 2:00 at night. When I asked her why she said that she is up texting and monitoring Facebook because she did not want to miss anything.

This is indicative of the lives of most people around the world today, they are consumed with things that they have been convinced does some thing for them. Their lives however, are empty and joyless, but most importantly, they are distracted from their sinful state. 

This is what the adversary wants, for every person to be seperated from Yahweh, to be convinced that they are fine and well. Chasing their dreams, seperated from reality, having friends that are not really their friends, or may not have even heard of. They are unable to be still for a moment to hear, to listen, to even get a good nights sleep.

All of these distractions and deceptions, cause people to disregard Yahweh's moral law, with the end result being self-distruction. All types of secular values that lack the power to stand alone. We see the examples of this, the moment one craze begins to fade something else replaces it and everyone adds it to their lives. Only Yahweh's moral law gives, stability, structure and peace.

Police officers are able to keep the peace because most people are law abiding, but if the law is removed, hidden or twisted then the desire to obey is less. The advesary promises all types of things but the end result is always ups and downs, a never ending roller coaster. Though it may seem great to get on and go for the ride, you have to come back down to earth....because it was all and always will be just a ride.

"For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee."  Psalms 128:1-2.
